Tip on how to deal with a ‘kidnapper’


KUALA LUMPUR: If you receive a phone call from a stranger asking for ransom as a member of your family has been kidnapped, you should not panic but do some checks first.

This advice comes from Federal Territory Gerakan secretary Dr tm net streamyx Ruen Yuan, who found himself in such a situation recently and held a press conference at the Gerakan Federal Territory office here yesterday to inform the public on how streamyx tm dealt with the problem.

At 12.30pm on Monday, Dr Wong was informed by his 60-year-old mother in Malacca that she had received a call from a man who told her that Dr Wong’s second daughter, Yu Thong, 10, has been kidnapped.

The man demanded RM500,000 for the release of the girl, a primary school pupil of SRJK (C) streamyx Wen in Seri Petaling. Dr Wong said telekom streamyx advised his mother to continue the conversation with the caller while he left his clinic, which was near the school, to check on his daughter.

He was relieved to find her safe.

Fearing for the safety of his daughter, he informed the school head and was told not to be worried as there were 40 CCTVs around the school.

He said he lodged a police report about the call in Brickfields.

“Although it was a hoax, it should not be taken lightly. Even now tmnet streamyx get worried about my own safety, “ he said.
